Nature & Nurture Holistics
Integrative Mental Health Specialist
My whole life I have been rethinking mental health.
Mental health is not just about figuring out and treating symptoms. It’s not just about learning to think or respond to situations in new ways, making dietary changes, or taking medication if needed. It’s about becoming more connected to ourselves and our process of healing and change. As we come to know ourselves more deeply we shift how we interact with ourselves, our family and friends.
My therapeutic approach is intuitive, collaborative, client centered, and compassionate. I am a licensed mental health counselor, certified nutritionist, licensed body worker and practitioner of integrative mental health. We explore how our whole body impacts mental health. Whether working with you or your child, each treatment plan is specific to your unique needs. Together we take time to explore how different areas of your life contribute to your struggles.
I incorporate a variety of evidence based treatments tailored to meet your unique therapeutic needs through the lens of connecting the Mind, Body, and Spirit. The types of healing modalities that I offer include Body Centered Therapy (BCT) including Focusing Work, Therapeutic Body Work and Massage, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Biofeedback, Mindfulness Based Techniques, and Food as Medicine. I view our sessions as a partnership between counselor and client. During this collaborative journey, I will provide you with a safe and confidential environment to explore whatever is present for you. I offer an empowering non-judgmental approach to help clients begin the transformative process toward healing and growth.
Within each of us lies the knowledge we need to shift from surviving to thriving. When we are connected to ourselves and begin to understand how the stories of our life experiences weave together are we able to radically make shifts in our well-being. You and I will work towards nourishing and restoring balance to your entire system. One of the hardest questions to figure out is where to begin. Let me be your guide in your next steps!
